The read
The volume leader among Google-inbox resellers by its own claims, and a supplier to Smartlead — but its product is a commodity priced within cents of a dozen rivals.

Zapmail sells Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 mailboxes for cold email, with automated DNS, AI-assisted domain and mailbox naming, pre-warmed accounts and one-click export to more than 50 sequencers including Instantly and Smartlead (Zapmail). Setup is pitched at about five minutes via OAuth.

The surprising fact: Zapmail is not only a competitor to the sequencers' own inbox offers, it is inside one of them. Smartlead's SmartSenders lists "Fresh (Zapmail): $4.50/month, $13/year per domain" for Outlook mailboxes — so Smartlead buys from Zapmail and resells at a markup.

What it sells

  • Google Workspace mailboxes, sold in plan bundles plus per-mailbox add-ons.
  • Microsoft 365 mailboxes (price not shown on Zapmail's homepage; resold by Smartlead at $4.50).
  • Pre-warmed accounts under the slogan "Skip the Warmup. Start Sending from Day One".
  • Domain and DNS management (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), AI naming tools, integrations with 50+ outreach tools.

Source: zapmail.ai, fetched October 2026; the site's meta description says "from $2.50/mailbox". The dedicated pricing URL returned 404 to this pass, so annual discounts and Microsoft prices could not be confirmed. At $3–3.90 per included mailbox the plans sit in the middle of the $2.50–4.50 reseller range (Inbox & domain infrastructure).

Who uses it and why

Zapmail claims "1M+ Mailboxes Setup", "330k+ Domains Managed" and "Trusted by 50K+ businesses", with a 4.5 Trustpilot rating — all vendor claims. "Mailboxes set up" is cumulative, not mailboxes active today. The plan ladder (freelancers, mid-size agencies, multi-client agencies) shows the target: Lead-gen agencies and freelancers running volume on Instantly, Smartlead or ReachInbox who want Google inboxes fast.

Where it is strong

  • Speed and breadth of integrations. Fifty-plus sequencer exports and five-minute setup remove most of the friction of buying infra.
  • Distribution through a sequencer. Being a named SmartSenders supplier puts Zapmail in front of Smartlead's agency base.
  • Scale claims. If even half of "1M+ mailboxes set up" is active, Zapmail is among the largest Google/Microsoft resellers.

Where it is weak

  • Commodity product. Premium Inboxes, Cheap Inboxes, Inboxkit and Hypertide list Google mailboxes at $2.50–3.50, within cents of Zapmail.
  • Google exposure. Its core product is the one Google targeted in autumn 2025 (Provider crackdowns). Zapmail's own exposure to that wave is not documented.
  • Disintermediation. Its biggest channel partner, Smartlead, is also its competitor for the agency's infra budget, and Instantly sells its own DFY inboxes at $5.
Gap in the record

No founder, headquarters, entity, funding or revenue information was found for Zapmail. Whether its Google mailboxes sit on per-customer tenants or shared tenants is not stated on its site.

Trajectory

Zapmail has positioned for the post-2025 market by adding Microsoft and pre-warmed inventory, and by becoming a supplier to sequencers rather than only selling direct. That makes it look more like a wholesale layer under the sequencers than a brand agencies choose — which is safer volume but thinner margin.

What this means for an entrant

  • Zapmail is a likely supplier, not a rival. Smartlead's model — resell Zapmail-class inventory under your own UI at a $1–1.50 markup — is the fastest way for a new sequencer to offer infra. See Infrastructure strategy: build or partner.
  • Wholesale terms are the real competition. Negotiate per-mailbox cost and replacement guarantees; the retail spread is only $1–2.
  • Integration count is table stakes. An infra vendor with 50+ exports means your sequencer needs clean OAuth and bulk-import from day one. See Sending architecture.
  • Ask every supplier for tenant provenance. After 2025, "how was this account created?" is the question that protects your customers.
