Reply.io is a multichannel sales engagement platform (email, LinkedIn, SMS, WhatsApp, calls) founded in 2014 by Oleg Campbell, with teams in the US, Canada and Ukraine (about page). It sold seats to SDR teams for most of its life, then added two products alongside the seat: a contacts-metered Email Volume plan with unlimited mailboxes, and Jason AI SDR, an autonomous agent that defines an ICP, finds leads, writes sequences and handles replies.
The surprising fact: Reply now sells the cheapest and the most expensive product in this section from the same pricing page — $49/month email sending and an AI SDR at $500 to $3,000 a month.
What it sells
- Email Volume — unlimited mailboxes (fair-use policy), metered by active contacts, scaling to roughly $900–1,000/month at 100,000+ contacts.
- Multichannel — per-user seat with email, LinkedIn, SMS and calls bundled.
- Jason AI SDR — sold by active-contact bands with "24/7 operations" and AI personalisation. See AI SDR layer and AI reply agent.
- Agency plans — "unlimited clients and users" from $210/month; an Agency AI SDR from $500/month per client. See Lead-gen agencies.
- Data — 50 live data credits on all plans; more sold as add-ons.

Source: reply.io/pricing. The fetched page listed the annual and monthly figures in an ambiguous order; the table assumes the lower figure is annual, the usual convention.
Reply's response to Instantly was to unbundle: keep the seat for multichannel buyers, add a per-contact unlimited-mailbox plan for volume buyers, and add an agent for buyers who want outcomes. Three pricing logics on one page is a sign of a company hedging, not leading.
Who uses it and why
Mid-sized SDR teams that want email plus LinkedIn plus calls without Outreach or Salesloft pricing, and agencies that want an AI SDR they can resell per client. A competitor's review cites G2 4.6 from 1,500+ reviews and Capterra 4.6 — strong scores for a tool this age.
Where it is strong
- Breadth. Email, LinkedIn, SMS, WhatsApp and calls in one sequence, plus an agency tier. See Multichannel steps.
- AI SDR on real plumbing. Jason runs on Reply's own sending, LinkedIn and data stack, which most standalone AI SDR start-ups have to rent or build.
- Review base. 1,500+ G2 reviews give it social proof newer AI SDRs lack.
Where it is weak
- Squeezed from both sides. Email Volume competes with Instantly and Smartlead on price; Jason competes with 11x, Artisan and AiSDR on autonomy.
- Product polish. Reviewers report a flaky Chrome extension, LinkedIn session refreshes, and sequences on fixed schedules without signal triggers (lemlist's review — a competitor, so read with care).
- Revenue direction unclear. Latka estimates $8.7M for 2025 against $14.7M for 2024 — a fall that would be dramatic if true.
Latka's Reply.io figures (2025 $8.7M vs 2024 $14.7M, 79 staff, founded 2016, HQ San Jose) are third-party estimates and conflict with Reply's own "founded 2014" and "100+ professionals". Do not quote the decline as fact.
No launch date, customer count or revenue share for Jason AI SDR was found. How much of Reply's revenue now comes from AI SDR versus seats is the key unknown.
Trajectory
Pivoting toward AI SDR. The pricing page shows the company betting its premium tier on agents while defending the low end with unlimited mailboxes.
What this means for an entrant
- The AI SDR premium is real but crowded. Reply charges 10–30x its email plan for Jason. Whether buyers renew at that price is the open question — see The AI shift.
- Agency AI SDR priced per client ($500/month per client) is a template worth studying: agencies resell outcomes, not seats.
- Do not price three ways at once. Reply's page shows the cost of hedging; a newcomer should pick one unit and explain it in one line. See Pricing strategy.
- Its multichannel buyers are the ones to win. Email Volume users who want LinkedIn pay a $69/account add-on — HeyReach-style LinkedIn pricing on top of sending. A bundle at a lower total price is a wedge.
